Job summary

gpac seeks an experienced transportation leader in Sioux Falls to guide operations, forecasting, and staff balancing across multiple offices. This role emphasizes QA/QC leadership and ensuring consistent application of the Transportation Quality Assurance Plan.

The candidate will drive profitability and technical excellence on highway and bridge projects, while expanding the group through strategic pursuits and industry expertise for clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• 8+ years of transportation leadership experience.
• Design skills with Civil3D required.
• Existing experience and relationships with SDDOT and City of Sioux Falls.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for transportation operations and project managers with business planning, hours and revenue planning, forecasting, workshare, and staff balancing.
• Serve as QA/QC lead and oversee the Transportation Quality Assurance Plan across offices.
• Maintain quality and profitability on transportation projects, ensuring efficiency and technical excellence.
• Provide direction on significant transportation pursuits and industry expertise to clients.
• Lead expansion of the group through transportation projects (highway design, bridge design/inspection, alternative delivery).

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Job Responsibilities

• Provide guidance for transportation operations and project managers with business planning, hours/revenue planning, and forecasting, workshare, and staff balancing, as necessary
• Will serve as QA/QC lead when necessary, and oversight of the Transportation Quality Assurance Plan to ensure its application and consistency across all offices in the Transportation Design Group
• Maintain quality and targeted profitability on transportation projects and assist staff to ensure transportation projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence
• Provide direction on significant transportation pursuits and industry expertise to clients
• Lead the expansion of the group through the pursuit of transportation-related projects (highway design, bridge design/inspection, alternative delivery)
