Blink Health in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Design Systems Engineer II to shape and scale the visual and interaction foundations of its digital ecosystem. You will collaborate with Product Design and Software Engineering to evolve a shared frontend design system across products.

This hands-on role emphasizes technical execution, design detail, and end-user experience, with opportunities to mentor teams and publish robust components for enterprise-scale applications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in front-end or UI engineering.
• Experience working on enterprise-scale or complex professional software.
• Prior contributions to a frontend design system at scale.
• Experience integrating UI components into a complex ecosystem.
• Comfort with rapid prototyping and experimentation.
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine standardized UI components for quality, performance, accessibility, and design fidelity
• Conduct code reviews and validate design fit and finish
• Collaborate with the Design team through implementation reviews
• Publish, document, and maintain components in a centralized library
• Help integrate design system components into existing products transitioning to shared UI infrastructure
• Consult and mentor engineering teams on design system best practices
• Create live prototypes and proofs of concept for new patterns, workflows, and UI paradigms
