Job summary

Pluralsight is seeking a Principal Product Designer, Design Systems, to own Pando, our shared design language, and set architectural direction for the organization.

You will lead the design and governance of component and token architecture, scale accessibility, and mentor cross-functional teams while partnering with engineering to align roadmaps and tooling. This remote/hybrid role requires 10+ years in product design and enterprise system experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product design with focus on design systems.
• Proven track record defining component and token architecture for an entire system at a B2B SaaS company.
• Experience designing, governing, and scaling a design system at enterprise scale.
• Front-end knowledge of HTML/CSS and ability to influence engineering architecture.
• WCAG accessibility expertise and governance beyond manual checks.

Responsibilities

• Define component architecture and governance across the system, elevating quality and brand consistency.
• Design token architecture that scales to new themes and variants, addressing token debt.
• Build documentation and governance infrastructure that scales beyond daily work, using adoption data to close gaps.
• Partner with engineering to align tools and roadmaps, avoiding silos.
• Scale accessibility as a default across themes and components, in collaboration with the Accessibility Specialist.
• Own the system roadmap and measure its impact with data to influence priorities and resourcing.
