Job summary

OLX is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Design System team, focusing on evolving the system for consistency, quality, and pace across web and app. The role involves AI-assisted tooling and preparing the system for AI workflows with a small dedicated pod spanning multiple tribes.

You will design reusable components, define behavior, and work with engineers to ship them while maintaining coherence and documenting decisions for scalable impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve reusable components and foundations within the design system across web and app.

• Improve the contribution model so designers outside the core team can contribute without breaking coherence.
• Support design work from problem framing through documentation and handover using user research and team feedback.
• Create documentation and specifications covering variants, edge cases and usage guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers on token strategy and linking Figma to production code.
• Resolve conflicts between local tribe needs and system coherence.
• Work with product design teams to identify gaps and embed systems thinking across products.

OLX is hiring a Senior Product Designer to join the Design System team for its Real Estate products. The role focuses on evolving the design system to help designers and engineers design and build with greater consistency, quality and pace, working day to day within a small dedicated pod spanning web and app while serving multiple tribes. The role also involves using AI-assisted tooling and contributing to making the system well-structured for AI-assisted workflows.

What you'll do

• Design and evolve reusable components, patterns and foundations within the design system to reduce duplication and improve consistency across tribes
• Define component behaviour, states and variants and work directly with engineering to ship them
• Run and improve the contribution model that lets designers outside the core pod propose and ship components without breaking system coherence
• Support design work from problem framing through to documentation and handover, using research and feedback from teams to inform decisions
• Create clear documentation and specifications covering variants, edge cases and usage guidance
• Collaborate closely with engineers on token strategy and the practical link between Figma and production code
• Resolve conflicts between a tribe's local need and the system's long-term coherence
• Work with product design teams to identify gaps and embed stronger systems thinking across products

• Proven experience designing and maintaining a design system at scale, not just documenting one
• Experience running or contributing to a contribution model, or a clear point of view on how to build one
• Strong technical fluency and understanding of how design decisions translate into code; work with engineers as a peer
• Sharp judgment on trade-offs between enforcing consistency and allowing exceptions
• Strong communicator able to justify design system decisions to stakeholders and bring other designers along
• Comfortable with AI-assisted tools and interested in applying them to improve speed, quality and consistency
• A portfolio demonstrating strong product and systems thinking with evidence of shipped impact
• Experience working in Figma, including component libraries, variables and tokens, and experience with built or coded prototypes
