Job summary

ReCon Management Services in Beaumont, TX seeks a senior discipline designer lead for multiple complex industrial projects. You will develop and oversee discipline design packages (mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil or structural) and coordinate with clients and engineering counterparts on large-scale installations.

The role requires oversight of design teams, strong drafting background, and experience guiding project delivery from planning through execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years drafting experience, or an Associate degree with 5+ years.
• Two years toward a BS with related experience acceptable.
• Progress toward a BS or related technical field with experience is considered.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling drafting scope and man-hours.
• Assigning work to drafting personnel and reviewing outputs.
• Coordinating work with other disciplines and clients.
• Checking drawing packages for completeness and accuracy.
• Preparing and participating in 3D model reviews.
• Supervising designers and drafters for quality and timing.
• Coaching and teaching of designers and drafters.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
