Job summary

ReCon Management Services is seeking an experienced discipline designer to develop mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, or structural design packages for complex industrial projects. The role involves heavy client interaction and oversight of the discipline design project team on middle to large projects.

Responsibilities include planning, assigning work to drafting personnel, coordinating across disciplines, and reviewing 3D models.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 13+ years of experience, or an AS degree with 7+ years of experience, or two years toward a related BS.
Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and CADWorx; scanning software knowledge.
Solid Microsoft Office and documentation skills.
Knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements related to the stated discipline.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule drafting scope and man-hours.
Assign and review drafting work; translate engineers’ sketches for drafting teams.
Coordinate with other disciplines and clients; maintain professional relationships.
Check drawings for completeness and accuracy; participate in 3D model reviews.
Supervise and coach designers and drafters to ensure quality outputs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
