Canonical is seeking a Senior Design Researcher for the Design Team. This remote role sits within the User Science mission, advocating for user needs across product areas and shaping scalable research practices.

You will work with cross-functional teams to embed user insights into design and strategy. The ideal candidate has deep qualitative and quantitative research experience, a passion for open-source culture, and a track record of turning findings into tangible improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong mix of qualitative and quantitative research experience.
• Experience with user interviews, usability testing, and surveys.
• Ability to translate findings into actionable product insights.
• Comfort engaging with technically savvy stakeholders in open-source contexts.
• Proven portfolio demonstrating diverse research projects influencing design or organizational change.
