Qualifications

• Strong administration, planning, organizing, and coordinating abilities.
• Excellent analytical thinking and communications; team-building.
• Ability to build rapport with staff and stakeholders.
• Licensed and stamped drawings as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discipline and direct the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Deliver target gross margin profits for the department.
• Manage staffing, recruiting, retention, and development of department staff.
• Actively manage department revenue growth and labor efficiency.
• Ensure quality and compliance with IPS standards, procedures, codes, and ordinances.
• Oversee the Peer Review program and develop standards/tools for quality.
• Oversee manpower planning and resource allocation on multiple projects.
• Recruit, retain, and develop staffing to meet forecast labor and skills.
• Supervise designers and engineers and train staff.
• Facilitate a positive work environment and staff development.
• Communicate staffing levels with IPS management.
• Prepare proposals and support business development.
• Support business development with proposals and marketing activities.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
