Job summary

Gensler in Las Vegas seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead design projects from concept through completion. You will ensure client satisfaction, quality control, and financial performance while deploying resources for smooth workflows.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration across studios, and a deep commitment to sustainability in design. You will manage budgets, schedules, and project teams, negotiate contracts, and grow business with base-building and interiors projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
• 15+ years of related project management experience on a range of design projects, including hospitality.
• Professional license or certification preferred.
• Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects.
• Experience with full project lifecycle, through post-occupancy.
• Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and achieving net zero goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of projects and ensure client satisfaction, quality control and financial performance.
• Deploy resources to ensure smooth work processes and act as liaison between team and client.
• Lead team, set project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule.
• Monitor budgets, profitability targets, and billing processes.
• Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field
