Job summary

Valar is seeking a Senior Design Integration Engineer to provide execution leadership and ownership of design interfaces for a complex facility and site development project. You will manage interfaces across facility, piping, structural, vendor equipment, and site utilities to deliver buildable, coordinated designs.

The role emphasizes risk reduction, constructability, and early resolution of issues, with on-site work initially for two months, then remote with occasional on-site travels to

Qualifications

• 12–18+ years of progressive experience.
• Background in industrial facilities, energy/power, nuclear-adjacent facilities (non-licensing).
• Demonstrated execution leadership beyond drafting or production-only roles.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage design interfaces across facility, piping, structural, vendor equipment, and site utilities.
• Validate design assumptions and track changes with cross-discipline collaboration.
• Translate inputs into coordinated, buildable designs reflecting installation and sequencing realities.
• Lead constructability thinking and proactively reduce RFIs and rework.
• Coordinate piping and structural elements for compatibility and constructability.
• Lead model coordination and clash resolution across disciplines.
• Support leadership with practical, build-oriented recommendations.
