Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design and infrastructure programs within the EPC team. You will drive concept to IFC for multi-disciplinary manufacturing facilities, coordinating process engineering, construction, and facilities to align with company priorities.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in engineering and project management, with at least 5 years managing complex, multi-disciplinary scope in manufacturing or design engineering

Qualifications

• B.S. in Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• M.S. degree preferred.
• PE or RA license preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholders' requirements and translate into clear project objectives.
• Lead infrastructure and tool install projects from concept to IFC.
• Manage permitting and construction documents including transmittals and RFIs.
• Coordinate input from site teams and manage project funding requests.
• Align schedules with Procurement and Construction partners.
• Build cross-functional relationships for program alignment.
• Define delivery strategies: design-bid-build, integrated development, fast-track.
• Apply lean construction principles and BIM-driven design.
• Support feasibility studies and value engineering.
