Job summary

Goldbeck Recruiting is representing a well-established manufacturer in the Chester, CT area seeking a Design Engineer to take concepts through launch on the production floor. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing to shape new products and apply Lean principles.

Responsibilities include leading hardware design for fenestration, driving value engineering, and ensuring designs meet performance and regulatory standards, while supporting production teams on technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–8+ years in an engineering design role in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CREO or similar 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes including die-casting, injection molding, and stamping.
• Strong hands-on problem-solving on the production floor.
• Experience managing products from concept to launch.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of innovative hardware solutions for fenestration industry.
• Drive new product development and continuous improvement using Lean principles and value engineering.
• Partner with Sales and customers to deliver market-driven design solutions.
• Develop cost-effective designs meeting volume, performance, and budget targets.
• Create and execute testing protocols to ensure performance and quality.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality teams.
• Maintain accurate and compliant engineering documentation.
• Manage projects to ensure on-time delivery and budget.
