Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, based in Medford, Wisconsin, is seeking a Design Engineer for its Windows division. The role focuses on designing window and door systems, testing and analyzing products, and improving manufacturing processes in a team setting.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical engineering degree, 2 years in window/door design, and experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, along with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in window and door design preferred.
• Familiarity with window/door designs and installation is a plus.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is highly desirable.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer designs for window and door systems.
• Design, test, and analyze new and existing products.
• Assist in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Work with suppliers to evaluate components and materials.
• Work with sales and marketing team and evaluate feedback on product performance.
• Assist with testing and certification of products.
• Provide and maintain accurate documentation regarding products.
• Work in a team environment involving production, customer service, and sales.
