The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of hands‑on product design, lean experience, and proficiency with CAD/CAM, ERP, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on product design experience.
• Lean or similar continuous improvement knowledge and experience preferred.
• Software experience: CAD/CAM, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Software

Responsibilities

• Lead DTV and VA/VE initiatives to optimize existing product designs, reduce costs, and improve value.
• Analyze product designs, materials, components, and manufacturing processes for cost reduction opportunities.
• Develop innovative design solutions using CAD and other engineering tools to improve functionality and manufacturability.
• Apply DFMA principles to simplify designs, reduce complexity, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Partner with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to evaluate materials, components, suppliers, and technologies.
• Prioritize and execute product improvements based on business impact, feasibility, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with Quality to analyze warranty claims and feedback for design improvements.
