Job summary

RealTruck in Springfield, MO is seeking a Manager of Design Engineering to lead product development for current and new products within designated categories. You will mentor a team of engineers, provide design guidance, and drive improvements aligned with the RealTruck Product Roadmap and LEAP process.

You will oversee CAD management, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring performance targets and cost reductions. A mechanical engineering degree and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Lean or Continuous Improvement knowledge.
• CAD/CAM software experience.
• Experience with maintenance software or ERP software preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering for new product development and improvements.
• Manage product development activities per Roadmap and LEAP process.
• Coordinate across departments to allocate resources and communicate priorities.
• Review ECNs and drive product improvements or modifications.
• Coach and develop team members and provide feedback.
