Job summary

SCS Engineers seeks an experienced engineer to lead the conceptual planning, detailed design development, construction support, and operational review of Transfer Stations and MRFs. This role aims to grow the practice in the Southwest Region (CA, AZ, NV, NM, UT) with strong client contact and project leadership.

The position may be based in any Southwest office or potentially remote, with responsibilities spanning business development, proposal development, budgets, and staff oversight to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science is required.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred but not required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant design experience with transfer stations and MRFs.
• Business Development experience on the West Coast preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and act as Project Director on project deliverables with emphasis on client contact and liaison.
• Assist in proposal development and budgets; ensure technical quality and profitability.
• Oversee QA program implementation in the Southwest Region and provide technical review for projects and proposals.
• Provide technical expertise on equipment, design, permitting, commissioning, and operations of MRFs and Transfer Stations.
• Develop business opportunities; coordinate with staff; mentor and develop personnel.
