Your Role

As our next Senior Design Engineer - Thermal, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our organization's success. Responsibilities:

  • Develop products from conceptualization to launch.
  • Collaborates and consults with Test, Process Development and Quality Engineers in support of NPD.
  • Interacts with customers and suppliers as needed to assess new technology needs.
  • Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues
  • Adheres to all safety regulations
  • Demonstrates support of CPC core values
  • Performs other job duties as required to meet business needs

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or another related field
  • 7+ years of design and product development experience
  • Curious, creative, and tenacious problem solver
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • CAD proficiency - PTC Creo, SolidWorks, etc.
  • Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated history of design innovation
  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook
  • Competent in the design and development of plastic molded components
  • Competent in the design and development of machined components for high volume manufacturing
  • GD&T experience preferred
  • This role may require up to 5% travel. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
