Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc in Tysons, Virginia is looking for a Design Engineer 3 to join their Security and Electronic Systems business unit. In this role, you will support the design, integration, and maintenance of electronic security systems for various customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and have over 5 years of relevant experience. You will work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that designs meet customer needs and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in engineering with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Experience with electronic security and IT systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Support review of customer requirements and develop design that meets customer needs.
• Participate in Electronic Security System site surveys.
• Create Engineering Installation Design Packages in AutoCAD.
• Complete calculations including power and voltage drop.
• Assist in the bids and proposals process.

Skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Effective communication

Familiarity with networking concepts

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to effectively use AutoCAD

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar
