Job summary

PSCI in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Design Engineer Level 3 for a contract role on-site. You will design major components, develop and improve products, and coordinate with other organizations to ensure manufacturability and conformity to specifications.

Requirements include US citizenship, active Secret or Interim clearance, 4/10 workweek, first shift, and at least 3 years Creo design, 2 years Windchill PLM/PDM, GD&T, and 4 years creating finished 3D models. MBD awareness desired.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Creo design experience.
• 2+ years Windchill PLM/PDM experience.
• Mechanical primary and secondary structures.
• 1+ year Concept development.
• 1+ year Design review content preparation.
• 4+ years Create Finished 3D Models.
• 2+ years Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• 2+ years Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design major components or major portions of a functional system or prototypes.
• Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.
• Develop basic data, layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals, considering manufacturability, material availability, interchangeability and cost.
• Coordinate with other organizations affected by design development.
• Create layouts of assemblies and detail parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.
• Check layouts and drawings for clarity, conformity to standards and calculation accuracy.
• Identify design errors and propose revisions to responsible engineers or designers.
