Job summary

GeoLogics is seeking a Design Engineer with an Active Secret Security Clearance for an onsite Grand Prairie, TX role. You will design major components and develop layouts for manufacturing, ensuring compliance with standards and contractual specs.

The candidate will refine concepts, collaborate across teams, and produce 3D models and documentation for review. This is a 12+ month contract to hire with a US Citizenship requirement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Creo design experience.
• 2+ years with Windchill PLM/PDM.
• Experience with mechanical primary and secondary structures.
• 1+ year in concept development.
• 1+ year in design review content preparation.
• 4+ years creating finished 3D models.
• 2+ years GD&T experience.
• 2+ years with complex mechanical/electrical concepts.
• Extensive 3D modeling experience (4–6 years).

Security Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance issued by the Department of Defense

Position Description

Designs major components, or major portions of a functional system, or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products.

Develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations.

Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.

Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development.

Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.

Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.

Required Experience

Candidate must have at least 3 years experience with Creo design.

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Windchill PLM/PDM

Mechanical primary and secondary structures

At least 1 year of experience with Concept development

At least 1 year of experience with Design review content preparation

Candidate must have at least 4 years experience with Create Finished 3D Models

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Complex Mechanical/Electrical Concepts

3D Models 4 - 6 Years
