Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Engineer III for Private Land Development in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. This role focuses on civil site improvements, water distribution, and related infrastructure, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools.

You will work with project teams and clients to design, document, and deliver solutions that meet schedules and budgets. Qualified candidates have a civil engineering background, ABET-accredited degree or AE experience, and EIT/FE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or 8+ years AE industry experience.
• EIT/FE registration in Civil Engineering.
• Able to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy and a solid work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; teamwork oriented.

Responsibilities

• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standard design practices.
• Prepare engineering reports for civil site improvements and water distribution systems.
• Create project drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D and establish alignments/earthwork calculations.
• Interact with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to meet budget and schedules.
• Contribute to proposals and support project management activities.
