Job summary

Apex Companies in Roseville, California seeks a Design Engineer III- Private Land Development to design civil site projects, prepare reports, and lead drawing packages using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools.

The role requires 4+ years in civil engineering, ABET-accredited degree or equivalent AE experience, and EIT/FE registration. CA driver’s license is essential; PE preferred. This is a full-time position with growth opportunities in a CWE/Apex group.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program or equivalent AE experience.
• EIT/FE registration in Civil Engineering.
• Proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and PDF tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication, detail orientation, and teamwork.
• Ability to learn new software and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standards.
• Prepare reports for civil site improvements and utility systems.
• Prepare project drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D with alignments and earthwork.
• Interact with public/private clients and multi-discipline teams.
• Meet deadlines within scope and budget; support proposals and PS&E bid packages.
