Job summary

Anderson Dahlen Inc. in Ramsey, MN is seeking a Design Engineer to design and develop fabricated components and systems in a high-precision stainless steel environment.

You will analyze customer requirements, perform manufacturable designs, and collaborate with operations, sourcing, quality, and project management to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions. Strong SolidWorks and GD&T knowledge is preferred; senior roles mentor others.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3D CAD with SolidWorks is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T; ASME and FEA is preferred.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and leading projects.

Responsibilities

• Create designs, specifications, models, BOMs, and drawings.
• Coordinate with production to ensure manufacturability and tolerances.
• Lead design efforts, mentor engineers and drafters.
• Perform engineering calculations for size, speed, torque, stress, and performance.
• Support customer interaction and on-site installations when needed.
