Anderson Dahlen, a Gray company, is hiring a Design Engineer to support the design and development of fabricated components and systems in a high-precision stainless steel environment. You will analyze requirements, develop manufacturable designs, perform calculations, and partner with operations, sourcing, quality, and project management to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Senior Design Engineer responsibilities include leading complex design efforts, mentoring engineers and drafters,

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in product/equipment design within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards.
• Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and quality control processes.

Mansioni

• Create designs, specifications, models, BOMs, and drawings with a team of engineers and drafters.
• Coordinate with production to ensure manufacturability, tolerances, and surface finish.
• Ensure safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance of designs.
• Build prototypes for testing and approval when needed.
• Review customer models and drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Create and update solid models as needed and drive design improvements.
• Perform engineering calculations to size components and equipment for performance.
• Support on-site installation and technical questions with customers when required.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to plan production and procurement in ERP systems.
