Cornerstone Building Brands in the United States is seeking a senior-level Licensed Professional Engineer to lead metal building projects. You will coordinate design efforts, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior engineers while engaging customers for optimized solutions.

The role emphasizes supervisory responsibility, complex framing design, and ongoing skill expansion with design software such as RISA, STAAD, or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states preferred, with sealed design documents where required.
• Proven ability to design metal buildings of medium to high complexity.
• Experience driving productivity, reducing costs, and delivering value to customers.
• Able to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in metal building system design methodologies for complex framing and non-standard solutions.
• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Engineering Manager.
• Engage with customers to develop optimized building solutions and ensure alignment with goals.
• Design and oversee projects with high complexity, ensuring code compliance and standards.
• Provide oversight for projects requiring signature and seal and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers to grow technical capability.
• Identify opportunities for design improvement and cost reduction through engineering solutions.
