  3. Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability while maintaining structural integrity.
  4. Evaluate and design modifications for existing structures when necessary.
Technical Collaboration & Support:
  1. Work closely with drafting and detailing teams to ensure accurate representation of engineering intent in shop drawings and erection plans.
  2. Provide guidance to project managers, sales, and customer service teams on technical feasibility and design constraints.
  3. Support field service teams with structural clarifications and issue resolution during construction.
Quality & Compliance:
  1. Conduct design checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  2. Assist in developing and refining engineering standards, tools, and best practices.
  3. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for engineering-related errors.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
  1. Stay up to date with advancements in metal building design, materials, and construction methods.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of automation tools, design optimizations, and process improvements.

Benefits: This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) plan, Share Profit plan, and paid time off.

Work Environment & Expectations:
  1. Remote, Hybrid, or on-site position.
  2. Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
  3. Occasional travel for site visits, training, or customer meetings as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Required:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
  3. 3+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB).
  4. Proficiency in structural analysis software and metal building design tools.
  5. Strong understanding of steel design, load paths, and connection detailing.
  6. Knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, MBMA, AISI).
Preferred:
  1. Familiarity with metal building manufacturing processes.
  2. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
