Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a design-focused engineer to drive VAVE activities, lead electro‑mechanical design, and guide parts from concept to prototyping.

This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, reliable products. Based in Decatur, GA, the position demands on-site presence and a track record in new product development, manufacturing methods, and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering is required.
• 0 to 2 years of applicable experience.
• Proficient use of 3D CAD, MS Office, etc.
• Lean Six Sigma methodologies and DMAIC tools.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with sketches and drawings.
• Cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop product geometry, assemblies, and drawings; manage changes and BOM.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to resolve part issues and BOM errors.
• Lead team and participate in meetings and stage-gate development.
• Develop concepts from Project Charters and specifications with cross-functional input.
• Support process improvement and Kaizen activities.
