Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Design Engineer / Checker - Level 3 to join the Build to Package Verification Process and Compliance team, ensuring the integrity, completeness, and compliance of F-35 designs and 3-D models.

You will act as a critical quality gate, review designs, apply GD&T, validate models before downstream use, and generate concise reports while maintaining traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2 years of professional experience.
• Minimum 1 year in engineering design checking or QA with a CAD focus, preferably on advanced fighter aircraft programs.
• Proficient with Siemens NX CAD and model-based verification.
• Strong PC skills: MS Office and PLM tools.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and 3-D models for compliance with specifications and downstream needs.
• Apply ASME Y14.5 GD&T principles and verify drawing standards per ASME Y14.100.
• Conduct model-centring verification ensuring full feature definition and FSDA compliance.
• Generate concise check and non-conformance reports with traceability matrices.
• Collaborate with design engineers, configuration managers, and program stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.
