Job summary

Textron Systems Weapon Systems seeks an experienced Engineering Drawing Checker to support a major US Air Force program and new initiatives. You will ensure drawings comply with national/international standards and company design standards while aligning with program release schedules.

You will mentor peers to raise the team’s proficiency in drawing, GD&T, and tolerance stack analyses, supporting multiple design teams and documenting checklists of common findings for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting and applying engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and tolerancing.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5-2009 and ISO GPS nuances.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drawings meet national/international standards and project schedules.
• Identify technical shortcomings and propose solutions.
• Check drawings for technical completeness, clarity, conformance to standards, dimensional accuracy, and correct materials/processes.
