Job summary

Caterpillar’s Large Power Systems Division seeks a Senior Design Engineer to provide technical leadership and deep product knowledge for legacy fuel system components, including fuel injectors and pumps. You will resolve failures, support supplier challenges, and drive re-sourcing and test activities.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, strong design and testing expertise, and collaboration across teams. Located in Mossville, IL with up to 10% travel and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or Materials Science) required.
• Experience with design, development and validation of fuel system components.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
