Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc. is seeking an experienced design engineer for the Critical Power Solutions Division.

You will lead design efforts, oversee project work from concept through test, and coordinate with customers and vendors to ensure technical requirements are met. Responsibilities include developing local-manufacture CPSD products, guiding design changes, and reviewing documents for compliance with contract specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years’ design engineering experience or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of UPSD products, switchgear, transformers, and battery systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to read and create technical drawings and materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop CPSD products designed for local manufacture and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Design U.S. components to replace imported parts where beneficial.
• Review order documents to ensure technical requirements are met.
• Prepare Bills of Materials, drawings, specifications, and instruction books.
• Lead design, test and prototype programs as project lead.
• Collaborate with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues.
