Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, Wisconsin, part of Techtronic Industries, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead mid/high complexity Power Tool New Product Development projects. You will apply first principles, develop models, and drive rigorous analysis to inform design decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, perform stress analyses, and guide test plans while maintaining a focus on schedule, cost, and performance impact on user needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of machine design experience.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design analysis.
• Ability to apply first principles to develop models and perform tolerance analyses.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical resource on mid/high complexity Power Tool NPD projects.
• Provide technical information to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Establish test regimens and deliver data analysis to support design recommendations.
• Mentor engineering and non-engineering teammates.
• Develop system-level models and perform mechanical stress analysis.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and tolerance stack analyses.
• Design gear-driven systems and analyze sound, vibration, and dynamics.
• Collaborate with peers to ensure schedule, cost, and performance targets are met.
• Inform early-stage development using empirical and analytical methods.
