Sikla USA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead structural design tasks from concept through detailed drawings. You will work with sales to price concepts, interact with clients and engineering professionals, and contribute to advancing Sikla products for new markets.

The role focuses on BIM-enabled design, 3D modelling, and producing accurate construction drawings while coordinating with internal teams and clients in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in related Engineering fields (structural, civil or mechanical).
• Experience in BIM environments (Building Information Modelling).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, Autodesk suite (AutoCAD 3D, Revit) used daily.
• Knowledge of US building codes and load guidelines (e.g. ASCE).

Aufgaben

• Design small to medium size structures using 3D design software.
• Review customer requirements to ensure designs meet purpose and timelines.
• Prepare technical presentation of structural calculations to clients.
• Develop detailed 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients and colleagues.
• Produce construction drawings and material lists per specs.
• Coordinate with warehousing for delivery of materials.
• Field and answer technical inquiries from internal/external parties.
• Assess feasibility of future projects via concept design and cost estimates.
