Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Tucson, AZ to design, develop, build and implement new products for Caterpillar Fleet Products. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve complex global problems and coordinate planning and delivery of new models and features for integrating Command for Hauling systems that enable autonomous Haul Trucks within a Minestar Environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, supplier development, and leading NPD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or commensurate relevant job-related experience.
• Experience with Creo, Team Center or 6Sigma preferred.
• Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, and Supply Chain.
• Prior experience leading New Product Development projects.

Responsibilities

• Researching new materials and competitive products.
• Organizing, coordinating, and executing prototype build, test and analysis.
• Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development.
• Overseeing drafting and testing specialists' efforts.
• Developing and documenting functional requirements for Autonomy Hardware on Haul Trucks.
