Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Engineering Team Leader in Brooklyn Park, MN or Peoria, IL. You will guide the development of advanced controls and autonomous systems, integrating hardware, software, and machine components across disciplines.

You will lead architecture, requirements, and technical specifications, while mentoring engineering teams and ensuring alignment with Caterpillar standards and business goals. This role requires 5 days in the office and travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of system architectures, requirements, and technical specifications for advanced controls, automation, and emerging technology solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, product strategy, and Caterpillar engineering standards.
• Collaborate with global engineering, product, and business partners to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and drive successful product outcomes.
• Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
• Directing project staffing; coaching, motivating and developing project team and team members.
