Job summary

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks a highly motivated Senior Design Engineer for Active Learning to support hands-on, studio-based, and laboratory-driven engineering education across undergraduate and graduate programs.

Reporting to the Director for Design and Fabrication Instruction, this position plays a key role in the support of a broad portfolio of programs, including the Master in Design Engineering, the MS/MBA in Engineering Sciences,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting engineering design, prototyping, and instructional laboratories.
• Experience with multidisciplinary projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
• Experience developing curricula, workshops, or educational programs in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Support curriculum development and delivery of SEAS design and innovation courses.
• Lead and support design and fabrication workshops and training sessions.
• Oversee instructional spaces and labs to enable interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor student project teams.
• Establish and maintain SOPs for fabrication spaces and ensure safety.
