Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks an accomplished academic leader to serve as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Programs.

This role reports to the Dean and guides undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral education across SEAS. The Senior Associate Dean leads academic planning, curriculum and policy development, and resource stewardship, while collaborating with Harvard partners to advance teaching and learning excellence.

Qualifications

• The organization requires 10+ years of leadership experience in higher education, research, science, health, or engineering.
• Experience leading academic programs, educational strategy, curriculum development, or teaching and learning initiatives in higher education.
• Experience leading staff and managing budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for SEAS undergraduate, master's, and doctoral education.
• Advise the Dean and faculty leadership on academic policy, educational strategy, and program development.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen educational quality, interdisciplinary collaboration, and student success.
• Represent SEAS on University-wide committees and cross-school initiatives related to academic programs.
• Oversee long-range curriculum planning and accreditation processes.
