Job summary

Wanzl North America seeks a Sr. Manager of Design & Development to lead the product design and engineering development team.

Based at the Denver, NC headquarters, you will drive process standardization, capability development, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Operations, Quality, and global Wanzl teams. The role supports Engineer-to-Order offerings and portfolio enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience, including 5+ years in supervision/leadership.
• 3 years' experience with electronics and computer networking systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the D&D function across segments, establishing engineering standards and processes.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional D&D efforts to support sales-driven ETO projects.
• Ensure design methodologies are applied (requirements, CAD modeling, DFM, DTC, prototyping, change control).
• Manage resource planning and capacity for D&D team in collaboration with Segment Leaders.
• Oversee engineering change management, project reviews, and IP protection.
