Job summary

Wanzl GmbH is seeking a Quality Manager located at the Denver, NC plant to drive the development, execution and continuous improvement of the quality program for assigned focus areas. You will ensure all products and services meet quality standards before they reach market.

This leadership role requires collaboration across manufacturing and field service, with a focus on KPI improvement, supplier quality, and compliance with ISO/ASTM standards. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a consumer product manufacturing environment (fabricated steel products preferred).
• Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing and field service activities.
• Proven track record collaborating with contract manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and customers.
• Lean Manufacturing experience; Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead root cause analysis and action tracking.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
• Determine, track, and improve critical KPI’s.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce cost of poor quality.
• Define and execute quality goals, policies, procedures, and systems.
• Establish clear processes, provide training, and ensure site-wide adherence to quality standards.
• Partner with Purchasing to define supplier quality requirements; oversee corrective actions.
• Serve as a liaison with customers to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Lead and maintain quality inspection and product release programs.
• Oversee reporting requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver employee quality training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards (ISO, ASTM).
• Directly supervise and develop Quality Engineers and Technicians.
