Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Transportation Project Manager I in Charlotte, NC to lead project teams on major infrastructure initiatives. The role involves managing budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and contractual obligations to deliver high-quality results for clients.

The successful candidate will coordinate with multiple disciplines, guide junior engineers, and contribute to design-build projects across transportation infrastructure. Travel to project offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience or
• PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and manage budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Develop and review project specifications and discipline-specific engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure quality control and on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and ensure productive collaboration across disciplines.
• Support pre-award and post-design phases, including proposal development and planning.
