Job summary

McFarland Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple commercial construction projects in the Indianapolis market. The role covers full lifecycle management from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PM experience, design/build exposure, and proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project. Travel is possible in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Construction management preferred).
• 5+ years project management experience.
• Design/build experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project tools preferred.
• Open to travel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Preconstruction to prepare and monitor project budgets and cost reports.
• Finalizes and manages project budgets and schedules.
• Understands owner contracts, bonds, fees, notifications, and reporting.
• Leads cost-reduction discussions and value engineering with owners.
• Manages subcontracting process and final execution of contracts.
• Oversees onsite construction activity and schedules phases to meet deadlines.
• Reviews contract documents to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinates subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedules.
• Maintains safety, quality, and respectful work environment programs.
