Job summary

MiniMed in Juncos, Puerto Rico, is seeking a Senior Design Automation Engineer for an on-site, full-time role. You will lead CAD software development, assess hardware limits, and implement design specifications while supporting PLCs, vision systems, robotics, and PC-based equipment.

Collaboration in SOPs, risk assessments, and validation plans will be required. The role demands a bachelor’s in engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience, with a preference for medical device or electronics

Qualifications

• Requires Engineering Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical or electronic industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques to solve technical problems.
• Assesses architecture and hardware limitations; plans technical CAD software projects.
• Defines and selects new approaches and implements CAD software engineering applications and design specifications.
• Develops routines and utility programs; prepares design specifications and recommendations for approval.
• Provides support for PLCs, motion control, vision applications, robotics, and PC-controlled equipment.
• Supports SOPs, qualification protocols, risk assessments, validation plans and change controls.
• Participates in technical meetings; develops testing documentation and validates systems.
