Job summary

Reframe Systems is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the hardest parts of our design automation platform, turning high-level designs into manufacturable models and production plans for a scalable microfactory outcome.

You will lead a hands‑on technical team, decomposing complex problems into clean abstractions while guiding architecture, tooling, and AI-driven enhancements across the engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• Strong software engineering in Go, Python or C#, with automated testing and CI/CD.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and containerized deployments (EC2, Lambda, etc.).
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to turn messy domains into clean abstractions.
• Experience using coding agents to prototype and accelerate development.
• Fast learner with ability to pick up new programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core design automation pipeline to produce manufacturable outputs.
• Decompose complex domains into clean abstractions and manage scope.
• Design pipeline stages, IR and verification gates.
• Set direction for design automation and raise engineering standards.
• Leverage AI within the system and for tooling.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to automate workflows.
