Job summary

Reframe Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead parametric CAD design for residential and low-rise multi-family projects.

You will create highly detailed, fabrication-ready models and drive end-to-end design-to-manufacturing processes in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team. Role emphasizes automation, precision, and mentoring; the candidate will own critical design challenges and coordinate with architecture, manufacturing, and software teams to ensure rigor and quality

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Architecture or closely related field.
• Expert-level proficiency in a major parametric CAD system (e.g., Onshape, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Demonstrated experience with management of large-scale, complex 3D assemblies and data management.
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex multidisciplinary engineering problems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce manufacturing-ready models and documentation.
• Ability to mentor junior team members on best practices in modeling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Expert CAD modeling and detailing for Onshape; collaborate with architecture and manufacturing for fabrication-ready models.
• Manage 3D model versions, file structure, documentation and revision control for fabrication pipeline integration.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, architecture, and software teams to resolve design challenges and meet deadlines.
• Lead generation of mechanical concepts and feasibility studies for standardized and parametric assemblies.
• Design, build, and iterate functional prototypes; develop testing plans to validate performance and compliance.
