Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of skin conditions.
• Perform advanced cosmetic procedures including lasers, peels, injectables, thread lifts.
• Conduct dermatologic surgeries such as mole removal and cancer excisions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans for medical and cosmetic care.
• Supervise and mentor junior dermatologists, registrars, and aesthetic nurses.
• Ensure patient records and safety/ethical standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of skin conditions, from common dermatoses to complex and rare diseases.
• Perform advanced cosmetic procedures including laser treatments, chemical peels, injectables (Botox, fillers), and thread lifts.
• Conduct dermatologic surgeries such as mole removal, skin biopsies, and skin cancer excisions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients seeking both medical and cosmetic dermatological care.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments, technologies, and techniques in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
• Supervise and mentor junior dermatologists, registrars, and aesthetic nurses.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure compliance with all relevant medical and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with other specialists and healthcare providers to ensure integrated patient management.
• Contribute to the clinic's reputation through excellent patient outcomes and professional conduct.
• Potentially participate in clinical research and contribute to publications.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and hygiene protocols within the clinic.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBChB or equivalent) with specialization in Dermatology.
• Board certification as a Dermatologist (e.g., FC Derm, MMed Derm or equivalent international qualification).
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience in clinical dermatology, with substantial experience in aesthetic medicine.
• Proven expertise in dermatologic surgery and a wide range of aesthetic procedures.
• Strong diagnostic, clinical, and surgical skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring junior staff.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a demanding patient load in Randburg .
