Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support multiple DoD/Navy contracts from our Washington, DC office. The role blends program leadership with tactical management of resources, schedules, and performance reporting in a hybrid work setting.

The candidate will interface with government authorities, oversee contract execution, and guide workforce development, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in program/project management, with 10+ years in DoD/Navy programs.
• BS/BA in Engineering or Business Management; Masters preferred.
• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility to gain a clearance.
• Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist the program manager with various contracted efforts.
• Interface with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
• Oversee execution of contract requirements.
• Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
• Prepare and deliver program summary reports detailing accomplishments and metrics.
• Develop and oversee employee competency development programs.
• Lead and direct the work of others; monitor workforce talent development and training needs.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on performance management aligned with company goals.
• Promote compliance with corporate policies and standards.
• Identify and understand federal government customer requirements and opportunities.
• Participate in Government and Industry forums to build partnerships and understand capabilities.
• Lead or contribute to pipeline development, capture strategies and proposals.
