Job summary

Kiddie Academy seeks a Deputy General Counsel to manage the company's legal affairs and advise on corporate matters across the franchise system. Based at the Abingdon, MD corporate office, this role blends in-person collaboration with 20% remote work.

You will partner with executive leadership and departments on contracts, regulatory compliance, IP, privacy, and franchising. The successful candidate will bring 6-8 years of experience, a US-licensed JD, and a practical, business-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Must have a U.S.-based J.D. and active license in good standing.
• Experience in corporate transactions, SaaS, and franchise law is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department.
• Provide business-focused legal guidance to executives and departments.
• Support growth, risk management, contract drafting, and franchising issues.
