Southern Maryland Tri-County Community Action Committee, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Director of Housing and Community Development to lead planning, financing, implementation, and oversight of affordable housing initiatives across Southern Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in urban planning and housing development.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in construction project management (projects valued at $6M+).
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience managing budgets, grants, contracts, funding applications, and long-term development finance activities.
• Experience with LIHTC, USDA Rural Development, HOME, CDBG and other funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Affordable Housing Development: Identify and evaluate sites for housing development.
• Lead development activities involving LIHTC, USDA, HOME, CDBG and other housing finance programs.
• Coordinate development finance activities including predevelopment, construction, and permanent financing.
• Oversee housing counseling services, rental housing operations, property management relationships, and related programs.
• Executive Support: assist President/CEO in planning and strategic management; may act as Executive Officer in absence of President/CEO.
