Job summary

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development seeks a Director of Multifamily Asset Management to lead the Division of Credit Assurance. This senior role oversees a team responsible for monitoring the physical and financial condition of multifamily affordable housing and guiding risk management and enforcement activities.

You will report to the DCA Deputy Director and provide strategic direction on asset management, mortgage insurance programs, and divisional administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• At least four years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, servicing, compliance, asset management or risk mitigation at a state or Federal housing agency or lending institution
• At least two years in a management, supervisory, or leadership capacity
• Experience underwriting or asset managing commercial loans or multifamily affordable housing projects
• Experience with Federal affordable housing programs such as Risk-Sharing, HOME, USDA Rural Development, LIHTC, Section 8

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team responsible for monitoring the physical and financial condition of multifamily affordable housing projects.
• Conduct compliance reviews, analyze risk, and manage loan workouts and enforcement activities.
• Provide strategic guidance on asset management, mortgage insurance programs, and divisional administration
