Job summary

This role supports county departments by delivering enterprise system solutions and tech support, improving business processes through information technology.

The successful candidate will lead staff, develop project plans, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with ITD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Office Automation, or a related field.
• One year performing duties comparable to a Departmental Information Systems Manager I.
• Or five years analyzing business processes and information systems including one year supervising IT staff and three years at journey level.
• Experience coordinating department information technology projects and staff.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the senior information professional for the department; plans, coordinates and oversees staff activities for automated information systems.
• Interviews, selects, motivates, supervises staff and evaluates performance.
• Develops improvements to operations; plans information projects and converts to new systems for productivity.
• Prepares system development projects including needs analysis, cost-benefit analysis, project management, testing and training.
• Analyzes, writes procedures and ensures compliance with policies and architecture.
• Coordinates with ITD on information technology issues.
